Requirement 6 CHALLENGE (CitWorld)

  CHALLENGE Numbered Heads Together This structure eliminates the "one student dominates" problem by holding every single Scout accountable for knowing the material. The Setup: At their three tables, Scouts number themselves off from 1 to 7. The Action: Provide a specific question based on the handouts (e.g., "Describe some types of INFORMAL “AMBASSADORS”"). The table has 5 minutes to read the handout and ensure everyone at the table can answer the question perfectly. The Reveal: Call out a random number (e.g., "All Number 4s stand up"). Only those Scouts can answer the question for their team. I will have the “Number 4s” come to the Challenge Desk one at a time.  As tables are successful, their Scouts will be credited with 6(a) and move on to 6(b) and ultimately 6(c). STATE DEPARTMENT The Department of State is the main agency responsible for planning and implementing U.S. foreign policy to manage relationships with other countries. ADVISE & REPRESENT The primary reason for this agency is to advise the president and represent American interests globally. INFORMAL “AMBASSADORS” In contrast to official politicians, regular travelers and Olympic athletes also act as ambassadors, representing American citizenship through their actions everyday.
